A Meaningful Bike Ride with my oldest son

I took my oldest boy (15 year old ) for a bike ride yesterday. I suggested it and to my surprise, he accepted the invitation. It was nice. Not so much the ride itself — my butt hurt after a few minutes and my legs and back soon complained as well — but the idea of he and I still engaged in an activity we did back when he was much younger. We went riding by the Great Swamp. There were few cars and so we were able to talk while we rode. We stopped for lunch at a Mexican restaurant in the middle of nowhere then biked some more until all the beans and salsa caught up with me and we had to make an emergency bathroom run. A minor hitch in an otherwise really special day.
